David Beckham signing for Paris Saint-Germain are false, says spokesperson
David Beckham's spokesperson has dismissed rumours that the LA Galaxy star has signed for French club Paris Saint-Germain, and denied that the former Manchester United and Real Madrid player has agreed a move with any other institution.
The 36-year-old midfielder has been strongly linked with a move to the French capital with PSG, who can count on sizeable financial support from their Qatari owners. Reports even suggested that he would be travelling to Paris to be presented as their latest signing over the weekend, although the player stayed in London after apparent delays.
L'Equipe ran a report on Tuesday night suggesting a deal has been concluded, while local paper Le Parisien is set to lead with a similar story on Wednesday.
However, David Beckham's spokesperson made it clear that a deal with the French club, or anyone else, does not yet exist.
"No agreement with any football club has been reached. Any talk of a deal is premature. David is presently considering his options," Beckham's representative told Goal.com during an interview.
Beckham's contract with Galaxy expires at the end of 2011, and the veteran midfielder's options still remain open.
