118 Russian children adopted through Appogg

118 Russian children were adopted through the public Appogg adoption services between 2008 and 2014, Social Solidarity Minister Michael Farrugia revealed.

Responding to a parliamentary question by shadow Gozo minister Chris Said, Farrugia pointed out that 14 Russian children were adopted through Appogg in 2014.

The best year for Russian adoption was in 2011 when 29 children were adopted, followed by 2008 when 27 children were adopted. In contrast, only nine Russian children were adopted through Appogg in 2012 and only six children in 2013.
