Smuggled cars, dinghy, underwear and alcohol all up for sale

The Customs Department has announced a major sale of smuggled goods they recently seized – including two Volkswagens, a dinghy and 48,000 pairs of underwear.

The sale, which will be held between 27 February and 3 March, will also include two aquariums, 115 ceramic tiles, 18,000 pairs of shoes, 21,000 glasses, 2,400 bottles of vodka, and 18,000 bottles of wine.

People will be able to view the items at the Customs’ Newport Bonded Stores in Marsa from 7:45am to 12:30pm and from 1:15pm to 5:15pm.
