Three hospitalised in Tarxien traffic accident

A 71-year-old man, a 68-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man were hospitalised following a traffic accident in Triq tal-Barrani, Tarxien.

The accident was caused by an impact between a BMW 520 driven by the 30-year old man resident of Zejtun, and a Fiat Punto driven by the 71-year old resident of Birzebbuga. The woman was passenger in the Fiat.

A medical team, together with members from the Civil Protection Department, were called on site and the three were taken to Mater Dei Hospital for medical treatment. The elderly pair have been certified as suffering from grievous injuries, while the young man was slightly injured.
