Almost 80% of last year’s hold-ups remain unsolved

38 hold-up cases were reported last year to the police

Almost 80% of the cases of hold-up reported to the police last year remain unsolved, a question tabled in parliament reveals.

In reply to a question raised by PN MP Ryan Callus, Home Affairs Minister Carmelo Abela said that eight cases have been solved so far.

The total number of cases reported to the police during 2015 amounted to 38.
