Police warn against scam text message

The Police has issued a statement warning against spam text message which several Maltese residents this morning reported to have received.

The text message, sent from +371 655 25294, and users are advised against replying to the text or calling the number.

“Please be wary of any text messages asking you to immediately call a foreign number. This appears to be none other than another scam,” the Police said.

The text message is in Maltese and urges the receiver to call the foreign number.
