Consultation launched on animal circus in Malta

Roderick Galdes launches consultation process after protests in recent years.

A consultation process was launched about animal circus shows in Malta. The process is asking whether animals should be used in such events.

The consultation process launched by parliamentary secretary Roderick Galdes starts next Monday 8th July and ends on Friday 19th July.

Recently, in particular during the festive season, foreign circus owners would be given permits to perform in Malta. This would lead to substantial protests from local animal rights' movements.

The public and NGOs are invited to submit their opinion via email on [email protected] or by post, addressed to Konsultazzjoni Annimali fiċ-Cirku, Segretarjat Parlamentari għall-Biedja, Sajd u Drittijiet tal-Annimali, 476 Casa Leone, Triq il-Kbira San Gużepp, Santa Venera, SVR 1012.
