Walk for blindness in Valletta tomorrow

The Malta Guide Dogs Foundation will hold a walk through Valletta tomorrow to commemorate White Cane Safety Day, an annual international celebration of blind people. President Marie Louise Coleiro Preca will take part in this commemoration.

The Malta Guide Dogs Foundation has been offering individual-based voluntary services such as the provision of guide dogs, guide dog assistance, white cane techniques, and orientation and mobility training to visually impaired people since 2009. Orientation training includes teaching blind people how to navigate through rooms, recognize where corners and roads are, and use the sun, wind and sounds to keep orientated.
