Poligas ordered to replace defective oxygen cylinders at Mater Dei

Patients and hospital staff complain of bad smells emanating from oxygen cylinders.

Mater Dei hospital’s management has ordered Poligas to replace ‘defective’ oxygen cylinders that had been causing distress to patients and hospital staff.

Illum newspaper reports that the director-general of health has confirmed that the medicines authority had received complaints on odours inside the hospital.

Poligas was ordered to replace the cylinders and informed of penalties it would incur.
