Authorities thank blood donors
Health authorities have thanked the general public for their response to the appeal for blood donations following yesterday's attempted murder.
In a statement, the Centre for Blood Donors thanked all those who responded to the appeal, and for having restored an acceptable reserve of blood.
The Centre added that it encourages more people to come forward and donate blood, for the country to be prepared for any eventuality.
The Centre for Blood Transfusion will remain open till 6pm.
MaltaToday is informed that yesterday's victim benefitted from numerous pints of blood donated by third parties.
