Woman hit by car in Rabat

The woman, who is from Rabat was reportedly attempting to cross the road with her mother and nine year-old daughter, when she was accidentally hit by a Toyota Vitz car, driven by a 70 year-old woman driver from Hamrun.

She was given first aid by paramedics and taken by ambulance to Mater Dei Hospital where she was certified to be suffering from serious injuries, but was not in danger of dying.

Police are investigating.
