Bailed and unnamed Gozitan charged with trafficking cocaine is a soldier

A 28 year-old Gozitan man who was yesterday granted bail by a Magistrate after pleading not guilty to trafficking in cocaine is a soldier, MaltaToday has learnt.

Magistrate Anthony Ellul who presided over the hearing, and granted bail, ordered a ban on the publication of the suspects name, however no reason was given as to the reason behind the decision.

A police statement explained that the man is from Victoria, Gozo.

He was charged with trafficking and possession of cocaine and cannabis and was arrested at a known club in Gozo.

Magistrate Anthony Ellul granted bail to the accused and tied it to a personal guarantee of €4,000.
