Catering establishments, night-clubs, discos, to stay open till 4am
Licensed catering establishments and night-clubs, discotheques or other premises where dancing is held may remain open until 4am on the night between the 24th and the 25th of December 2010 and the night between the 31st of December 2010 and the 1st of January 2011.
This, the government said in a statement, is in accordance with LN 1 of 2006 as amended by LN 104 of 2008,
“All obligations concerning the playing of amplified music remain unchanged and no annoyance or inconvenience to neighbours is permitted by any sound which may be heard from outside the premises or by anything else done inside or outside the premises,” the statement said.
“In the event of non-compliance with the provisions of this paragraph the Police may take any action provided under rule 38 of Legal Notice 1 of 2006. This is without prejudice to any other action which may be taken under the law.”
