Gaza Strip attacked by three airstrikes

Attacks on Gaza Strip continue as three bombing attacks are witnessed over Palestinian city of Khan Yunes.

Three bombing attacks on Palestinian city of Khan Yunes in Gaza Strip were carried out by Israeli aircraft according to witnesses.

No casualties have been reported so far although numerous Palestinians were killed or injured during Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip during the past few months.

The attacks occurred during the early hours of Thursday morning. The eastern and western parts of Khan Yunes were targeted by the airstrikes.

The attacks were confirmed by Israeli military officials who said that the assaults were in reaction to a rocket fired late on Wednesday from the Gaza Strip which has not yet been verified by any officials in Gaza itself.

Airstrikes have been launched on Gaza by the Israeli regime on a regular basis since the end of the December 2008 to January 2009 war on Palestinian territories.

The alleged reason for the attacks on Gaza was said to be for the prevention of attacks on Israel.
