Suicide car bombs kill three in Baghdad

Two suicide car bombs exploded at an entrance to Baghdad’s Green Zone, killing at least three people and wounding 13 others.

An interior ministry official said the attack took place infront of Baghdad’s heavily fortified Green Zone entrance, where many foreign embassies and Iraqi government offices are based.

The site of the attack is the main entrance to the central Baghdad area for cars travelling from the airport.

The official said nine of the 13 wounded were members of Iraq’s security forces, adding that more victims were on their way to the hospital.
