Second Win for the Maltese off-roaders in Italy
In the beginning of June, the Maltese off-road Team, Team Small Spider Malta had registered their second consecutive win in the Italian offroad championship, X-series Trophy which was held in Fondachelli Fantina, Messina.
Alan Zahra and Jonathan Camilleri had to battle it out until the last minute as they faced some seriously tough offroad. They won 6 sections out of 7, with the 7th one placing second in a total time of 1 hour 20 minutes.
The Maltese team had shown their determination and superiority in finishing a tough section which no other competitor managed to finish.
They had now increased their lead in the X-Series Trophy championship with 28points, 7 points on the Italian team Grontek having 21 points. The Maltese team stand a good chance of winning the championship.
The next round of the X-series Trophy will be held in Reggio Calabria on the 12/13 October 2013. We wish the Maltese team the best of luck and to make us proud once again.
