ASMK Autocross winners to be decided next Saturday

The evening's program starts at 6.00pm till late. Some Heats and the day's Final races will be run under
artificial lights.

The Class A and B Championship winners are still undecided. Class A point's leader Patrick Cassar on his Opel Corsa carries a single point more to that of Christian Galea on his Fiat Ritmo. Surely all spectators will be watching the qualifying heats to watch Patrick and Christian qualify for the Class A
Finals.

Also in Class A Vince Farrugia on his VW Polo will be battling with Melo Zammit's Ford Escort to hold his 3rd place in the prestigious Class A classification. All the first four places will be decided during next Saturday's last championship event.

The Autocross Class B championship is also very well battled thoughout all the events. Current Class B leader is Mario Scicluna with 45 points on his Opel Corsa. Malcolm Borgo on another Corsa is runner-up to Mario with 39 points but Ryan Scerri with 38 points is also so close to Borg and stands a good chance to win the Runner-up in this class. Scicluna will be racing his
Final 9 Laps race in a more confortable position even if he does not win this last Final B race. He will still be declared Class B Champion as long as he finishes up to 3rd place in the final race. Borg and Scerri will be Bottling for the runner-up place in this great last event.

Unlike the Autocross Class A and B all is decided in the Gozo Autocross class. As has already been reported Domenic Zammit leads this Class with 79 points on his Alfa-Sud. Runner-up Christian Apap has 63 points and Joseph Vella on a Ford Fiesta has 43 points. Whatever happens during next Saturday's racing the Champion and Runner-up of this class are Domenic Zammit and Christian Apap.

Practice sessions are to be held on Saturday afternoon between 2.00pm and
4.00pm.

ASMK wishes good luck to all participating competitors and their team mates and fans too. The Autocross drivers are expected to display excellent driving techniques on the loose surface tracks during the three qualifying Heats and especially during the race Final events.
