Nexos awarded 2011 Excellence Award

Nexos Lighting, and its lighting designer, Ismael Portelli, have just been awarded the 2011 Excellence Award at the International Prolight and Sound Fair in Germany, an international competition for the Best Lighting Design in Concerts held throughout the world during 2010. 

An Italian company, leader in the provision of such specialised lighting, decided to nominate this talented 25 year old Gozitan on the basis of his work at such momentous concerts as those by Joseph Calleja, Sir Elton John, Rod Stewart and Armin van Buren.

The competition for the award was stiff, having the top designers in the field participating in this event, with the Maltese concert lighting pipping the Sir Paul McCartney concert in Brazil for the top spot.
