EY Malta has announced it will be hosting its annual event in the IFRS update series on Wednesday, 11th November at Corinthia San Gorg, St Julian’s.

The event, kicks off with registration at 08:30 and throughout the morning, EY professionals in the assurance service line will deliver a range of presentations aimed at keeping stakeholders up to date with recent developments in IFRS, using practical applications, where they will be helping the finance community to better implement such standards.

“As key players in the sector, we feel it is our duty to keep our clients and stakeholders abreast of upcoming changes in standards and interpretations,” Christopher Balzan, EY Executive Director in Assurance said.

“The event is designed to discuss key issues arising from such standards and their implementation,” he said adding, that this year we will also cover the requirements of the general accounting principles for small and medium sized entities (GAPSME) legal notice issued recently as part of the transposition of the single accounting directive in Maltese law.

“We will also be highlighting the main differences between GAPSE, GAPSME and IFRS.”
