More than 700 attend Ball of the August Moon

More than 700 people attended the Ball of the August Moon at Verdala Palace last night, held under the auspices of  President Marie Louise Coleiro Preca and organised in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund.

In her speech, Coleiro Preca said the attendance of those present was testament to the committment which they feel towards the indispensable work of the Malta Community Chest Fund.

“We are deeply committed to building a culture of peace, of equity, and wellbeing, by making solidarity a true expression of unity among the Maltese people. When we stand in solidarity with one another we send a powerful message about the kind of society in which we want to live,” she said.

On his part, Marchesino Daniel de Petri Testaferrata, Chairman of the Organising Committee, thanked the patrons for their attendance, through which, they have helped to generate more funds for the Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation.
