Naomi Klein is this year’s special guest at Malta Book Festival

The indefatigable climate change activist and author of ‘No Logo’ will be a special guest for this year’s Malta Book Festval

The climate change activist and award-winning writer and journalist Naomi Klein will be the special guest for this year’s Malta Book Festival on 7-11 November.

Naomi Klein is a syndicated columnist and author of the international bestsellers No Logo, The Shock Doctrine and This Changes Everything: Capitalism vs the Climate. Her books have been translated in over 30 languages.

In 2017 she joined The Intercept as senior correspondent and is a contributor at The Nation magazine as well as Puffin Foundation Writing Fellow at The Nation Institute. Recent articles have appeared in The Guardian, The New York Times, the New Yorker, Le Monde, The London Review of Books.

She is a member of the board of directors for 350.org, a global grassroots movement to solve the climate crisis and is one of the forces behind Canada’s Leap Manifesto, a blueprint for a rapid and justice-based transition off fossil fuels. The Leap has been endorsed by over 200 organizations and inspired similar initiatives around the world.

In November 2016 she was awarded the Sydney Peace Prize for “inspiring us to stand up locally, nationally and internationally to demand a new agenda for sharing the planet that respects human rights and equality.”

Her new book, No is Not Enough: Resisting the New Shock Politics and Winning the World We Need was published in June and was an instant New York Times and international bestseller.

This year’s festival will be held on 7–11 November.
