Man falls two storeys while waiting for bus, in danger of dying

An Indonesian man is in danger of dying after falling two storeys while waiting for a bus in St Paul’s Bay.

Police said the incident occurred on Saturday evening in 8:15pm, in St Paul’s Street, St Paul’s Bay.

Initial investigations suggest that the victim, who was later identified as a 37-year-old Indonesian, was sitting on a wall while waiting for the bus at a nearby bus stage. The victim is then said to have fallen over into a private residence – sustaining a two-storey fall in the process.

The youth was then taken to Mater Dei Hospital where he was certified as being in critical condition.

A magisterial inquiry is being held.
