Young driver, 19, crashes into Xaghra valley

A young man was grievously injured following a traffic incident in Triq l-Ghejun, Xaghra, Gozo.

The incident happened at around 10.30am, when the 19-year-old driver lost control of his Suzuki Samurai and fell a height of one storey into Wied tar-Ramla.

Members of the Civil Protection Department and paramedics rushed to site to assist the driver. He was transferred to the Gozo General Hospital where he was certified to be suffering from grievous injuries.

Investigations by the police are underway.
