Man seriously injured in fall off lifter

A 42-year-old man from Fgura was injured Friday when he fell off a lifter he was working on in Qormi.

The reasons for the accident, which happened at around 2.45pm in Triq il-Furnar, are not yet known.

The victim was taken to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment, where his injuries were found to be serious in nature.

Duty Magistrate Claire Stafrace Zammit was informed of the case and appointed a number of experts to assist in the inquiry she started.

Police investigations are ongoing.
