Woman held at knifepoint in Birkirkara robbery

A shop in Birkirkara has been robbed in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The incident took place at 6:30am in Fleur De Lys Street.

The police said an investigation revealed that a hooded and armed man had entered the shop and demanded money from the cashier, a 29-year-old woman from Zabbar. 

The man then fled the scene with the cash.

A police investigation is currently ongoing.
