Muscat also joked with the residents. At one point, he told an elderly woman that she had a good sense of humor, to which she promptly piped "I am still good at everything".

During the visit, Muscat was also presented with a donation for the party campaign by the owners of the elderly home. "I will send you the invoice," Muscat told the Vellas while thanking them for the donation.

During his visit, the Labour leader reiterated that a Labour government would ensure that legislation regulating elderly homes would be a comprehensive law focusing on the quality.

He said that were possible, elderly should remain living in the community and an active ageing policy should be followed.
