More than 5,000 registrations were received from customers with a Kartanzjan, with a considerable number of registrations received from foreigners residing in Malta.

Malta Public Transport has announced that it has already received 15,000 registrations for the tallinja card, Malta’s new transport card, in just three days since its launch.
Of these, more than 5,000 registrations were received from customers with a Kartanzjan. A considerable number of registrations were received from foreigners residing in Malta.
'The simple registration process is proving very successful. Holders of a new identity card or of a driving licence are not required to submit a photo," Malta Public Transport said in a press statement.
"Customers need only give their consent to Malta Public Transport to access their personal information from the National Identity Card and/or Driving Licence Databases. In fact, more than 85% of all registrations did not require the submission of a photo."
Malta Public Transport thanked all its customers who have already registered and to urge the public to register for the tallinja card now online at www.tallinja.com or by calling 2122 2000.
