Two illegal bird callers found in Delimara
Police confiscate two illegal bird callers that were located by a CABS team in Delimara

The Committee Against Bird Slaughter (CABS) have located two illegal bird callers in Delimara and reported them to the police.
CABS said in a statement that the devices, used for hunting and trapping, imitated the sound of protected oystercatchers and other waterbirds. They were switched off and confiscated by police officers.
The lures were found close to the lighthouse where trappers on Thursday assaulted BirdLife staff members who had approached an illegal bird caller.
CABS added that one of their teams on Monday found another illegal bird trapping site close to Santa Lucija, Gozo. The police were called and confiscated the clap net, and investigations to identify the poacher have been launched.
