Updated | Motorcyclist in critical condition

A 35-year-old man from Zebbug is in critical condition and he lost control of his Suzuki GSX motorcycle, crashing into a traffic barrier.

The accident happened in Dawret San Pawl, St Paul's Bay. The driver was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital for medical treatment.

Due to the accident St Paul's bypass, direction towards Burmarrad is currently closed to traffic.

In a separate incident, a 75-year-old man from Ghaxaq is being treated for grievous injuries. The man was walking near the Imnajdra Temples in the limits of Qrendi, where he fell into the valley.

The man was airlifted by a helicopter and conveyed to Mater Dei Hospital.
