Police investigate man's mysterious death

A 58-year-old man from St Julian’s has died in mysterious circumstances, moments after he was involved in a minor traffic accident in St Julian’s.

Police said the man was searching for a parking spot for a Mercedes Benz he was driving in Triq il-Fraxxnu in St Julian’s when he hit another vehicle. Initial investigations suggest that the man encountered physical difficulties, and an ambulance was consequently called on site.

The ambulance conveyed the man to Mater Dei Hospital, where later on, he was certified dead.

Investigations are underway in order to establish what lead to the death of the 58-year-old man.

The officers from the St Julians' Police District were informed about the case at about 1645hrs.

An inquiry has been ordered while police investigations are ongoing.
