Man seriously injured in Sliema fight

A 38-year-old man has sustained grievous injuries in an altercation in Sliema on Friday morning.

The incident occurred at 8:30am in Triq il-Katidral. 

The police said an investigation revealed that a fight had taken place between a 38-year-old man from Birkirkara, a 41-year-old man, and a 23-year-old man both residing from Gzira. 

An ambulance was called on site to take the victim to Mater Dei Hospital for further treatment.

He was later certified to have sustained serious injuries.

A police investigation is currently ongoing.
