Toy Story plates removed from market
Toy Story melamine deep plate removed from market due to the risk it poses of migration of formaldehyde.
In accordance with the Food Safety Act and Regulation (EC) No 178 of 2002 of the European Parliament and of the Council, and following information received via the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed, the Environmental Health Directorate said that a Toy Story product may pose a risk of migration of formaldehyde.
The product is a melamine deep plate, produced by Trudeau in China.
The Company involved was instructed to withdraw the batch in question from the market, however since it reported that not all consignment has been withdrawn, as it is done in these cases, this Directorate is obliged to inform consumers of this recall.
