Prime Minister, foreign affairs minister to meet French President

Foreign affairs minister George Vella to participate in the EU’s Foreign Affairs Council and will later be joining the Prime Minister in Paris as they meet with the French President.

Prime Minister Joseph Muscat flanked by the minister for foreign affairs, George Vella, are set to meet French President Francois Hollande next week in Paris.

Vella will be travelling to Luxembourg today to participate in the EU's Foreign Affairs Council and the General Affairs Council.

Following the meetings in Luxembourg, the minister will travel to Paris on an official visit as a member of the delegation headed by the Prime Minister.

While in Paris, they will also be attending a concert by tenor Joseph Calleja at the St Louis Cathedral. The concert is being orgnaised by the Maltese embassy in Paris as part of the embassy's cultural promotion activities.

The Minister will be accompanied by his Chief of Staff, Leonard Sacco.
