Muscat and Piano discuss City Gate project

Prime Minister Joseph Muscat and architect Renzo Piano discuss City Gate project in Paris meeting.

Prime Minister Joseph Muscat found time to meet the world-renowned architect Renzo Piano during his two-day visit in Paris to discuss the City Gate project.

The meeting between the Prime Minister and the Italian architect behind the construction of the new Parliament and open-air theatre in Valletta, was described as informative.

In a statement issued today, the government said Muscat, who was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Louis Grech, and Piano discussed the concept behind the project, the original brief and plans for the future.

The government added that it planned to hold a wide consultation process in regards to the the project's development.
