Arriva launches the prepaid daily tickets

Bus operator launches day tickets, now available on Saver Cards

Bus company Arriva Malta has launched their new dailies: prepaid, 1-day tickets, which can be used one at a time for each day of travel.

The new ARRIVA dailies, which replace the previous carnet paper tickets offer bus travellers an "oyster-card-like" system that allows the purchase of multiple bus tickets which can be used one at a time. The special offer dailies 10+1 package offers one day of free travel when 10 day tickets are purchased .

Created in response to customer feedback, the ARRIVA dailies do not need to be used on consecutive days and will remain stored on your Saver Card until you need*. The new tickets can be purchased as singles or in convenient batches of 10+1. Each single daily ticket costs the normal fare of €1.50 for residents, whereas the 10+1 package at €15, saves 14 cents per ticket

Dailies can be purchased on the official Arriva Saver Card which customers can get within minutes by visiting one of Arriva's ticket booths in Valletta or University. . In order to activate the tickets on your Saver Card, you must purchase your first ARRIVA dailies from one of Arriva's ticket booths in Valletta, the Airport or University. Your first Saver Card is free-of-charge and can be used immediately to buy your bus tickets

Thereafter you can top-up your Saver Card with dailies from the ticket booths or from one of the 29 ticket machines available in different localities across Malta and Gozo, where you can also check how many tickets are still available on your card.

The new ARRIVA dailies mean you will no longer have to worry about having change or money to pay the driver, and when you board the bus simply tap your saver card on the machine.
