Verification process of abrogative referendum petitions ongoing
Once the process is complete, the petitions would be passed on to the Constitutional Court

The Electoral Commission has announced that the verification process of signatures calling for an abrogative referendum on hunting is at an advanced stage.
In a short statement, the Commission said that once the process is complete, the petition for an abrogative referndum would be passed on to the Constitutional Court within the time frame stipulated by law.
After the Coalition Against Spring Hunting (CASH) presented its petition calling for the ban of spring hunting through an abrogative referendum, the hunters' federation FKNK and other organizations presented a separate petition to parliamentarians, calling for the protection of minority rights from a majority vote.
