At least 49 people were killed and 79 injured when a suicide bomber attacked a school in Nigeria.
The bomber, dressed as a student, was present in the school hall for Monday morning assembly at the Government Technical Science College, in the north-east Nigerian town of Potiskum in the Yobe state. Around 2,000 students were gathered at the time.
A nurse at Potiskum General Hospital said that the dead were mainly students as well as a few teachers.
Although it has not claimed responsibility for the attack, local police believe the Boko Haram extremist group was behind the attack.
