Iran arrests four “British-linked men”
Iranian officials have arrested four people allegedly paid by a man based in Britain to carry out assassinations, Iran’s official press TV said.
The report said that four “Britain-linked terrorists”, detained in the Western city of Marivan, alleged to have carried out five assassinations over the past two years in return for money.
The men reportedly “confessed” to receiving orders while in the Iraqi city of Sulaimaniya, from a man called Jalil Fattahi, who was living in the UK, the report said.
"The ministry says it has disclosed documents and confiscated weaponry from the terrorist group," the report says. The British Foreign Office says is looking into the reports, which were published on the English language TV channel's website.
