The charity event, dubbed the Feast of Generosity, will kick off at 9am with a mass celebrated by Archbishop Charles J. Scicluna in the Home’s chapel.

A spectacle of entertainment and interviews with various personalities, will then be held under the big tent on the home’s premises. The event will be shown live on all major television stations.

“We are expecting the Maltese and Gozitans to show generosity with us, as they have always done in the past editions of the charity event,” Micallef said.

The director said that the home houses 115 residents, and such funding helps the administration in providing a healthy and decent well-being for the dwellers.

In last year's edition, the charity event collected a record of €1,255,269, surpassing the previous year’s sum by more than €275,000.
