Man seriously injured in Birkirkara fire

A man was seriously injured in a fire at a private residence in Birkirkara early on Wednesday morning. 

The fire broke out at a house in Triq il-Papa Piju XI at around 12am.

The victim, a 55-year-old who lives in Balzan, was taken to Mater Dei Hospital for further treatment.

Magistrate Nadine Lia has been appointed to the inquiry.
